Inspiring You By Showing
How ALL Life Is
Inclusive
There is a very touching story to by
Suzuki Roshi, a zen master at the Zen Center in San Francisco several
years ago that I will never forget.
On his visit to Yosemite National
Park, Suzuki views this huge waterfall coming down over this cliff. He
notices that it is one river at the top of this cliff. But as the water
falls, the river breaks up into these individual droplets and then it
hits the bottom of the cliff and it becomes one river again.
"We" are all one river until we hit this
cliff. That distance between the top of the cliff and the bottom of the
cliff represents our life. And all the individual little droplets
think they really are individual little droplets until they hit the
bottom and then they are gone.
But that droplet doesn't lose anything.
It gains. It gains the rest of
the river.
Find The Joy In Your Life
Our Lives
are streams flowing into the same river towards whatever heaven lies in
the mist Beyond the Falls.
Close your eyes and let the waters take
you home.
